PHILADELPHIA- The rivalry between these two teams adds another chapter in the book this Sunday night. However, it is perhaps one of the strangest meetings.

The NFC East, or the new nickname for the division the “NFC Least,” is currently the worst division in football. The Eagles stand at the top of the pitiful division at 2-4-1, with the Cowboys and the Washington Football Team tied for 2nd at 2-5. It is very likely the winner of this division will finish below .500, which has only occurred a few times in NFL history. Most notably, the Seattle Seahawks winning the NFC West with a 7-9 record back in 2010.

The abysmal records of the Eagles and Cowboys are not the only thing making this matchup interesting. Both teams have been slammed by injuries this season. For Philadelphia key injuries for this game include: TE Zach Ertz, RB Miles Sanders, TE Dallas Goedert, RT Lane Johnson, and the list goes on.

In Dallas, it is much of the same as their offensive line has also been decimated. However, the loss of starting quarterback Dak Prescott and backup quarterback Andy Dalton paints tough times ahead for the Cowboys. Third stringer, Ben DiNucci, will be taking the starting snaps for the first time in his career on the primetime stage.

Watch as Carson Wentz and the Eagles try to extend their divisional lead, on Sunday Night Football, 8:20 PM on NBC.
