Earlier this morning Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, ended her 2020 run at the White House by telling her senior staff members and then sending a heartfelt email to all of her supporters.
In that email to her supporters, Harris wrote, “To you my supporters, it is with deep regret but also with deep gratitude, that I am suspending my campaign today.”
Some early signs that her campaign was in trouble happened when she was facing some uphill challenges in the month of November. Harris initially launched her campaign by wanting to have the ability to not only compete in the important states of Iowa and New Hampshire but also get some control in her local and neighboring status in Nevada and California.
It was definitely a surprise that Harris ended her campaign before the Iowa caucuses even began, especially since she qualified for the December debate stage, in which some Democratic candidates still have yet to do. It’s going to be interesting to see where Harris goes from here, but she has made it clear that she still wants to focus on defeating President Donald Trump and fighting for the future of the United States of America.
