Kendrick Lamar has just announced the release date for his long awaited fifth album.
The rapper posted a link on his twitter Monday afternoon that took its viewers to his Oklahoma website. Once arrived at the website there is a file that you can click on to enter. This is where Lamar revealed his new album titled Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers will be coming out on May 13th.
Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers follows Lamar's pulitzer-winning album DAMN that he released back in 2017. It’s no wonder fans are overly excited as it has been five years since Lamar has released any content.
However, this unfortunately is Lamar's last album with Top Dawg Entertainment, his music production company.
Lamar also posted on his Oklahoma website a separate file that contained a letter written by himself giving fans an update on where he is currently at in life.
Lamar wrote in a letter “As I produce my final t-d-e album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The struggles. The success and most importantly, the brotherhood. May the most high continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators as I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”
As mentioned, be on the lookout for Lamar's album on May 13th through all streaming platforms.
