Men’s Basketball Picks Up One Win and One Loss This Week

SHIPPENSBURG, PA- Men’s basketball brings home one win and one loss after a two-game stretch on the road last week.
The Raiders played their first game of the week at Seton Hill on Monday evening and fell short of a win, 88-83.
Shippensburg led the beginning of the game, but in the final two minutes and 30 seconds were unable to score. The Raiders trailed by 5 points at halftime.
Shippensburg had an 8-0 run late in the second half. They came within two points, but it was not enough to lead over Seton Hill.
The Raiders played their second game of the week at Bowie State on Wednesday evening and are a bringing home a win, 88-79.
Shippensburg had a strong start and a 20-6 run to close the first half. The Raiders scored 50 points in the first half and were up by 14 points going into halftime.
Both teams traded runs throughout the second half, ultimately bringing the lead back to 14 points again.
Shippensburg made 7-of-8 shots at the free throw line with one minute and two seconds left on the clock to solidify their victory.
Markus Frank led the Raiders in scoring by putting up 25 points. Jaydon Smith also scored 21 points to help the Raiders pick up the win against Bowie State.
The Raiders’ next game is away at California University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
