The 2022 Spring school semester brought about many events and impactful moments not only on campus but in the community as well.

At the beginning of the semester, we saw the release of the PSAC top ten list honoring the athletes with achievements during the previous fall semester. The university had two athletes on the top ten list that was released, which made them the 44th and 45th individual raiders to be awarded a PSAC top ten award. Chayce Macknair, a junior, was named the PSAC’s most outstanding runner for mens cross country. Jenna Sluymer, a junior, was the other raider to be honored as she ranked top two in goals and points per game for the field hockey team.

This semester also involved updates throughout the semester regarding the COVID-19 guidelines and the masking policy for campus buildings. These guidelines included masks being required to be worn in all buildings, to now where masks are no longer needed in classrooms. Masks are still required however upon request when entering a professor's office, when visiting the Etter Health Center and the COVID-19 testing center and when riding public transportation.

We kept you informed on important news on and off campus including celebrity news and entertainment. This includes Kendrick Lamar announcing his new album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers” release date or our thoughts on the best and worst commercials from Super Bowl 56.

Next, we provided you with news on current events taking place at the ShipRec. One of the many events that took place over the semester at the ShipRec was the Badminton tournament in March.

We also came together as a community and a campus to mourn the loss of Noah Blessing, a freshman, who was majoring in history here at Shippensburg University.

All in all, we had a jam-packed Spring semester with many ups and downs. We look forward to seeing what the future holds in hopes of a great Fall 2022 semester.
