SGA Presents Drive-In Movie Night

By: Brianna Webb

SHIPPENSBURG - Grab your snacks, call your friends, and clear your Saturday night! A drive in movie night is coming to a parking lot near you.

Here on campus this Saturday at 8 p.m. there will be a drive in movie night held in the parking lot of the Ship Rec Center.

The two movies being shown will be the movie Get Out and Us, both directed by Jordan Peele.

Get Out stars Daniel Kaluuya as Chris and Allison Williams as Rose. In the movie the couple decides to go to Roses house for dinner to meet Roses family. Things take a weird turn as Chris notices endless strange activities around the house and realizes the family’s extreme interest in him.

Us stars Winston Duke as Gabe, Shahadi Wright Joseph as Zora , Evan Alex as Jason and Lupita Nyong'o as Adelaide . The movie starts off with a family of four taking a vacation and fairly soon, they realize they are not alone on their getaway trip.

Hosted by Ship’s Student Government Association, SGA’s Vice President of External Affairs, Lance Hines-Butts, explains why this event is worth attending.

“Get out and us is not only just a regular movie, it's a movie that you can learn from and take from in this event and use it in your everyday life. We will have chairs there and blankets. If you have your car, then bring your car. That's why it’s a drive in movie! So hope to see you all there!”

If you are looking to finally get out of your dorm this is the perfect time! Come out in support of SGA, have fun and relax!
