First-year Ship student, Adriana Richards had the amazing opportunity to attend a virtual event with Nick Jonas.
Jonas and Richards have something in common, they both have diabetes. Along with the almost 100 other incoming college students that attended the event. Jonas discussed what it will be like to be a college student and have diabetes and the struggles that some with it.
Richards, a dual education major with a minor in psychology, has already began her journey here at Ship as a student and has already made an impact by helping younger children with diabetes figure out what will be best for them. Richards is using her leadership skills to help others while fighting her own battle.
