Women's Soccer vs Shepard





9/28/2019 By Dani Williams- AFTER LOOSING TO BLOOMSBURG AND MILLERSVILLE IN THEIR LAST TWO GAMES, WOMENS SOCCER RETURNS TO THE WINNING BOARD WITH A FOUR TO ZERO SHUTOUT AGAINST SHEPARD. ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, WOMENS SOCCER MANAGED TO SCORE A LEAD AT HALFTIME LEAVING THE SCORE ONE TO ZERO ON THE STRENGTH OF A 31ST -MINUTE GOAL MADE BY JUNIOR CASEY BELL.

BY WORKING TOGETHER AND PLAYING AS A TEAM, THE RAIDERS WERE ABLE TO MEND THE BROKEN HEARTS BY SCORING NOT TWO BUT THREE MORE GOALS IN THE FINAL SIX-TEEN MINUTES OF THE SECOND HALF. SOPOMORE K.K. O’DONNELL,FRESHMAN LAUREN OCKER AND SENIOR IZZY WEIGEL EACH SCORED A GOAL ALONG WITH ASSISTING DURING THE SCORING BARRAGE. JUNIOR GOALKEEPER DELANEY SHIFFLETT WAS ALSO CREDITED WITH A SAVE IN POSTING HER THIRD SHUTOUT OF THE SEASON.

ACCORDING TO SHIP RAIDERS ONLINE, “IN SU’S FOUR VICTORIES THIS SEASON, THE RAIDERS HAVE ONLY ALLOWED ONE GOAL.” SHIPPENSBURG WILL HOST KUTZTOWN NEXT SATURDAY FROM THE DAVID SEE FIELD.
